A Guide to the 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO
Most people consider Harley-Davidson to be the ultimate motorcycle manufacturer in the US. Ever since 1903, they have manufactured some pretty iconic motorcycles. And every year, they release a new line of Harley-Davidson bikes.
Harley-Davidson unveiled the much-anticipated 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO lineup early this year. Their new Road Glide ST, Street Glide ST, and Low Ride ST undoubtedly stole the show. However, the lineup had much more to offer.
If you’ve been eagerly waiting to see what Harley-Davidson has lined up for you this year, here is your ultimate guide to the Harley-Davidson CVO line.
Read on to discover the changes the manufacturer has made to further improve the exciting Harley-Davidson CVOs.
2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Specifications
The new CVO line consists of several premier Harley-Davidson models with varying specifications. This section will cover some of their impressive specs and features.
Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide Limited
Harley-Davidson left out the 2021 CVO Limited, and they replaced it with the new jaw-dropping CVO Road Glide Limited that now tops the range.
If you are interested in a top-of-the-range Harley-Davidson model, the 2022 Road Glide will not disappoint. Previously, people complained about CVOs having a simple paint job, and the company heard your comments because this model comes with gorgeous orange paintwork.
Despite the shouting color, this CVO Road Glide is an absolute beauty. You can also get it in Hightail Yellow or Dante’s Red Fade.
It comes with heated seats in a classy suede and leather finish. You also get an ordinary and a supplemental lumbar backrest.
The passenger seat is thick, well-padded, and comfortable. Additionally, it has state-of-the-art speakers that allow your extra rider to enjoy the music as well. Both seats are perfect for long journeys.
On the rider’s area, you get heated grips with various settings. If you are the type of rider who doesn’t like to wear thick gloves, these grips will come in handy when you want to ride during the cold weather months.
The gauge cluster of this bike has some great silver details. Nonetheless, the gauges are not much different from what you find on many CVO models. The dash of this particular model has premium finishes with the signature Harley-Davidson infotainment system.
Like the other CVOs, the 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide Limited has black switches, and the designers took it a notch further by enclosing them with chrome housing.
On all the CVOs, you will get the same style gas cap. Although it is still appealing, it can’t beat what they have done on the newer Road Glides and Street Glides. On the other motorcycle models, such as the Street Glide ST, the designers at Harley-Davidson have moved the gas cap from the center to the side.
The 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide
Mechanically, the 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide has not changed much. However, this bike comes with a myriad of stylistic changes. The two-wheeler is available in 3 colors:
- Wicked Orange Pearl/Black Hole with Lightning Silver two-tone and bright chrome finishes
- Blue Steel, which comes with decorative insert finishes and scorched chrome powertrain covers
- Envious Green/Black Hole Fade with a flame pattern and glossy black finishes
The 2022 Road Glide runs on the Milwaukee-Eight 117. Like the other CVOs, this bike comes with several safety enhancement features. You’ll also get a wireless headset that is easy to integrate with AppleCare Play and the Boom! Box GTS infotainment system.
The 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Tri Glide
Unlike its predecessor, the 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Tri Glide comes in Dante’s Red with a bright chrome finish and an exquisite black sunglow flame pattern. This three-wheel motorcycle looks even better than is predecessor.
However, Harley-Davidson was not keen on changing the Tri Glide’s DNA entirely. Besides the color, the only other upgrade is the sound system. The three-wheeler now boasts the brand-new Rockford Fosgate speakers. More so, Fosgate designed this Harley-Davidson audio system specifically for this motorcycle.
The 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Tri Glide offers riders and passengers heated seats. Additionally, the bike boasts heated grips, and if you like riding at night, you can depend on its powerful Haymaker Adaptive LED Headlamp.
A Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine powers this three-wheeler, and its 125-ft Lb torque output is enough to thrust the 1269-pound beast forward. The bike has deceleration and acceleration track control, ABS braking, tire pressure monitoring, and a hill hold control system.
The 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide
The 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide remains unchanged from the 2021 version. However, it has more decorative inserts and paint options. You can go for the Hightail Yellow Pearl/Black Hole with Lightning Silver two-tone and bright chrome finishes if you like something flashy.
Also, you could get the eye-catching Blue Steel Street Glide with a scorched chrome finish, or you can buy the Envious Green bike with a Gloss Black Flame Pattern and Black Hole Fade finishes.
Like the other 2022 CVOs, the Street Glide is powered by a Milwaukee-Eight 117 with an impressive Screamin’ Eagle Breather intake. Its audio system consists of the Rockford Fosgate Stage II unit with speakers enclosed in the side-lids.
As part of its dashboard features, you get a 6.5-inch TFT that acts as the control center for its wide array of features. It has a Boom Audio 30 K helmet and a mesh-capable intercom that will allow you to communicate while on the go.
Other notable additional features are muffler end caps, shift pegs, brake pedal covers, and passenger pegs.
Cornering Enhancements
All the 2022 CVOs have complete Cornering Rider Safety Enhancements. On other touring bike models, this feature is optional. The safety suite includes cornering traction control, cornering ABS, Vehicle Hold Control, Cornering Drag-Torque Slip, etc.
The 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO bikes may have some thoughtful upgrades, but they haven’t lost their authenticity. For example, you still get the 21-inch rear wheel on most of these bikes.
If you go for the CVO Road Glide, Steet Glide, or Tri Glide, you will not miss out on Harley-Davisson’s touch of glass. Nevertheless, you will have a much better riding experience with superb handling and a more modernized feel.
Harley-Davidson Customization Options
With the 2022 Harley-Davidson CVOs, you have many customization options. For example, if you want chrome lowers on your bike, you can buy the parts and upgrade it.
You always have room for customization with these CVOs. Whatever you decide to do, work with your dealer to maintain the safety and standard of your bike. You can bank on the fact that the latest Harley-Davidson CVO wouldn’t need any modifications; they are designed to offer you the best riding experience.
There is something for every motorcycle enthusiast with several bikes in the 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO lineup.
Other Features of the 2022 CVOs
The floorboards on touring bikes are sometimes not desirable. But on the CVOs, the floorboards are not plain jane. They are nice and much more premium—not just for the rider but also for the passenger.
Interestingly, these floorboards’ design matches the highway pegs and the grip. As a result, the bike has a clean, uniform look.
The storage compartments of the CVOs now have a nice liner inside. If you put your phone in there, it will not get scratches. Also, you have a USB in this compartment, which you can use to charge your phone.
The purpose of the USB is for updates, so it may not charge your phone as fast as you’d like, but it can prevent it from dying. You do, however, have a dedicated charging port on the other side, and it’s more effective than the USB.
Harley-Davidson has partnered with Rockford Fosgate to provide you with a great sound system. Other people with touring bikes are upgrading their sound system with these particular speakers, which shows how good the Fosgate sound system is.
